Soulciety at an elementary school in Batangas, Philippines

Soulciety will be going back to the Philippines in January 2012 to continue our educational mission project called The Bridge. There will be 15 mentors from the Bay Area and New York that will be teaching various workshops including performing arts and hygiene to children in impoverished villages. We have worked with various communities, organizations, companies, schools, performers and volunteers to gather much needed resources to donate to these children and schools. From 2010-2011, we have collected and donated about 100 computers, 7000 hygiene supplies, 8000 school materials, 8000 books, 1000 shoes, and boxes of clothes, toys, sports equipment, medicine, and medical supplies.

We wouldn’t be able to achieve our goals if it weren’t for our partners. Our community has truly come together to help another community overseas that’s in need. Follow us during every step of our journey in the Philippines starting January 20!!! Everyday, mentors will blog on different aspects of the mission trip including our visits to the villages, working with the children, handing out donations, and our cultural excursions.
