For the past 10 years, Soulciety has been working with schools throughout the province of Batangas. Over the years, we have deepened our partnership with one of its historic towns - Taal.

In 2019, Soulciety took a group of volunteers to the Philippines to donate refurbished computers to schools in Taal, Batangas. We donated 80 computers total, with each school receiving 10 computers. For our continued work in the community and schools, Soulciety received an award from Vice Mayor Jovito Albufera on behalf of the Municipality of Taal in 2019.

In early 2020, the active Taal Volcano began to erupt and hundreds of thousands of people had to flee their homes. Soulciety fundraised to help provide aid and supplies to our partner schools as they persevered through the natural disaster. A few months later, they (and the world) were faced with another disaster - COVID-19. Soulciety continued providing support by partnering with Creative Adaptive Thinking to donate much needed distance-learning materials to the schools. Later in the year, Soulciety received the Partnership Award from the Province of Batangas’ Department of Education.

Moving forward, Soulciety is committed to continuing our work in Taal. Of the 17 public schools, we have donated computers to 8 thus far. It is our goal in 2021 to donate computers to the rest of the schools in Taal.
